Dr. Matthew Flory, as part of the launch of The National Center for Advanced Nutrigenomics and Functional Medicine, has joined up with the organization Thumbtack to provide cutting-edge care for people throughout the US and internationally. His services will include:

1. Functional Medicine - to track down the source of illness be it infectious, environmental, toxin or genetic or the combination of all of them. Functional medicine looks at all health factors from your life as well as your parents (and grandparents etc.) to gather information and become a 'health detective' rather than a 'drug pusher'.

2. Nutrigenomics - the exciting new field of understanding how each of our unique bodies process the nutrients it needs to survive. Recent understanding tells us that we all don't use nutrients such as B9 (Folic Acid) to the same degree due to our genetics. So many people must B9 in the 'pre-activated' form so that it can be used by their body...otherwise they are void of that nutrient. This is only one example of many.

3. Auto-Immune treatment - There is a logical and effective strategy to manage auto-immune disease. Auto-Immunity often involves glands such as the thyroid or pancreas. Lesser known auto-immune activity can exist such as at the cerebellum causing vertigo and also nerves and muscles causing inflammatory pain all over the body (Fibromyalgia) among others.

Thumbtack will allow Dr. Flory to work with people not only in the US but throughout the world.
